Russian Army starts to use cloned dogs

Tue, 07/30/2019 - 15:02

In the Netherlands the cloning of a pet dog created quite a rumour, in Russia they take things a step further. Police and army will on a much  larger scale use cloned dogs from the South Korean company Sooam Biotech for sniffing dog use..

Originating from the best search dogs (sniffer dogs) from Korea, Malinois, moreover, the dogs will act as bomb finding dogs or drug dogs. The first puppies have arrived in Siberia and will be used after training by the Security Forces, the Siberian Times reported.

The Korean company has given the puppies as  as a gift to Russia. Incidentally, Russia and the Korean company have been working together to create an even more prestigious project, cloning a woolly mammoth, an animal that has been extinct for 10,000 years.

This seems to be kind of weird screenplay becoming reality: cloned dogs that are used by the military. Only selected on defensive capabilities and cloned. Only problem now is for the Russians to let the pups obey the commands. So far they have only learned korean.
